THE LITTLE VAMPIRE // a fangtastic tale of friendship and adventure

The Little Vampire

This is MY little vampire.

Lil Sis was channelling her Elvira fabulousness for Halloween last year (did you read our vampire face makeup tutorial?), but now there’s a new blood-sucking hero in town…

The Little Vampire tells the tale of Rudolph, a 13-year-old vampire whose family is trying to escape a merciless hunter. He finds an unlikely ally in a human boy, Tony, with a fascination for all things undead. Together, their two families travel to Transylvania, overcoming prejudices and banding together to fend off impending danger, and having lots of fangtastic fun along the way.

First transformed into a kids’ comedy-horror back in 2000, this eternal tale of friendship and adventure has now been remade into a heartwarming animation with a bite.

Showing exclusively at Vue cinemas right now, it features some of Britain’s best-loved voice artists, including Jim Carter (Downton Abbey), Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) and Tim Pigott-Smith (Johnny English).

The Little Vampire film still

The Little Vampire is exclusively at Vue cinemas nationwide from Friday 25th May; catch it this half term, and if you fancy getting into character, here’s a step-by-step guide to creating this spookily sparkly vampire face makeup.
