STRESS-FREE FAMILY DINING // frankie & benny’s

Frankie & Benny's family restaurants Big Sis

Once upon a time I chose my restaurants by how Michelin stars it had, and many celebrities had been spotted stumbling out over the previous few weeks.

Now, it’s whether they have wipe-down seats and colouring-in books.

Frankie & Benny’s family restaurants have both of these AND genuinely friendly waiting staff AND the Holy Grail – a great selection of really tasty food. Which pretty much makes them perfect in my post-childbirth book!

We’ve been lucky enough to work with FRANKIE & BENNY’S over the summer on their fun #KidsInControl campaign. The girls got to help them create some delicious cartoon characters for their Yummy Tales YouTube video (shout out to Harry Hamburger, and Penelope Pizza – see the full video, below).

Plus, we got to visit our local family restaurant for a spot of Frankie and Benny’s yumminess.

Conveniently, we have one right next door to our favourite cinema, so last week we booked tickets to The BFG (amazing, in case you’re wondering), then went for an early dinner afterwards.

Big Sis and I both went for the BBQ ribs with fries; OH opted for beef lasagne, while Lil Sis chowed down on the Hot Dog and fries. There’s pretty much something for everyone on the menus – from wraps and salads, to burgers and pizza. It was so good and our entire meal – including a choice of side salad or veg, baked beans, soft drinks or squash, and desserts for the girls – was under £50.

But wait, there’s more! If you download the Frankie and Benny’s app before 2 September, kids eat for free (with every adult who orders from the Main menu – full T&Cs on the website). If we’d taken advantage of this great deal, our total bill would have been under £35.

Big thanks to Frankie and Benny’s for our delicious, filling and stress-free meal.

We’ll be back very soon!

  1. What a great idea – love when restaurants take the stress out of eating with kids.
