Bertie and Jack

There are SO many things I love about Bertie & Jack.

Firstly (and most obviously) because it’s a stunning and unique range of children’s art that can be personalised to exactly how you like it, by choosing from a wide range of cut-out designs, backgrounds and frame colours.

The end result is a bespoke piece of art you’re not going to find on every other wall.

But I also adore the story behind the company. It all began back in 2010 when founders Becky and Emma had their children, Bertie and Jack (see what they did there?).

Looking for a career they could build around their new families, they began hand drawing their original designs on mount card, and cutting them out to reveal their own range of surface patterns underneath.

Investing the last of their savings into a market stall in Bath, they worked every evening creating their beautiful children’s art. Then they took turns – one would sell the artwork, while the other watched the babies.

Three years later their hard work paid off, when the range was picked up by John Lewis.

Today, BERTIE & JACK is a true family business with both dads, John and Rich, now part of the team (and a new sibling, in the shape of Bertie’s sister, Delphi). They also employ a small team of other parents, who work around their own children.

They have a huge range of designs, from cute cats and adorable bears, to pretty penguins and flutterly butterflies. Once you’ve decided on the picture you have more hard decisions to make – which of the wide range of backgrounds to select?

The children’s art also comes in three sizes, and can be ordered framed or unframed. You can even request for a personalised message to be handwritten on to the mount. They make amazing gifts for birthdays, christenings and Christmas – if you can bear to give them away.

But these gifts are not just for children; the range has now evolved to include ‘grown-up’ prints and designs that are perfect for wedding gifts, anniversaries, or just to say ‘thank you’.

Bertie and Jack's Children's Art close up

After A LOT of deliberation, I finally decided on this gorgeous ‘Tree Top Trio’ cut out, which reveals the pretty ‘Green Bloom’ background. Next I chose a white wooden frame to match the decor in the girls’ room.

Isn’t it gorgeous?

I’m also giving you the chance to win your very own bespoke piece of Bertie & Jack’s children’s art (Tree Top Trio, size small). To enter fill in the Rafflecopter form, below. Good luck!
