Now that the girls are rapidly approaching 4 and 6 years old (erm.. how did that happen?!) there’s so much more we can do together as a family.
Good Friday was so lovely that we just had to get outdoors and make the most of the Spring time sunshine. We’re lucky enough to live near some amazing parks and National Trust properties, so decided to visit Cliveden House – once a stately home for British nobility, and now a luxury country hotel.
We were planning to join the Easter Egg hunt, but after seeing the huge queues we decided to make our own fun instead! So we wandered through the stunning gardens, and picked Forget-Me-Nots, and had treasure hunts amongst the Bluebells. We laughed, and ran around, and OH fell into the fish pond while pointing out a Koi Carp to the girls. Yep.
But mostly we just enjoyed all spending time together – something we don’t get to do nearly as often as we’d like. We arrived home, exhausted, damp (in OH’s case), and happy. A pretty perfect Easter, I reckon!
