MOMENTS THAT MATTERED (bloggers – win an ipad mini)

When you’re a parent time just seems to fly by, doesn’t it? It’s so important to stop every now and again, and remember all those ‘Moments that Mattered’.  Like…

seeing the ocean for the very first time.
getting to be a bridesmaid…
and cuddles – lots of cuddles!

Now I want to know – what were the moments that mattered most to you in 2013? Maybe it was an amazing holiday, or the arrival of a new baby. Perhaps you earned a qualification, got married, or were reunited with some family members.

Write a short post on your own blog, then pop back and enter the link into the Rafflecopter form below, and you’ll go in the random draw to win an iPad Mini. That’s right: AN ACTUAL IPAD MINI, RRP £249!!

But it’s not just me you have to thank – this competition wouldn’t even be possible without the team at LLOYDS BANK, who have very kindly put up this fantabulous prize.  (It’s not essential, and won’t affect your chance of winning, but if you can show them a bit of No-Follow link love in your post – – it’ll show them just how much we appreciate them supporting the blogging community.)

What you write is up to you, but you must UK based, and have been blogging for at least three months (full T&Cs HERE – entries that aren’t accompanied by valid blog posts will be removed). I’ll also list all the valid blog posts in the Moments that Mattered Linky, so you can check out the other entries.

Get entering, and good luck!!!!!  • Mummy’s Little Monkey is receiving a payment for hosting this competition a Rafflecopter giveaway

Had a very mixed year in 2013 with a lot of ups and downs, 2 of which where a very good family friend passing away at only 24 on the 20th May and my brothers wedding on 29th May, we thought they were going to have to cancel as he was usher at the wedding and they didn’t feel right about having the wedding so close after his passing but after talking to his family they were assured the right thing to do was go ahead with it, on the day everyone had a ball and he was mentioned in all speeches. I’m so glad they went ahead with it as it lifted everyones spirits and was my moment that mattered of 2013.

  2. my brother got married … went camping for the first time and my husband had a promotion all in all it was a great year x

My moment that mattered was becoming an auntie for the first time. It is so wonderful to experience having a little boy in my life. He is full of cheekiness and has enriched our lives. It made last year one of the most amazing years of my life

  4. My moment that mattered was Baba seeing Boo for the first time after he was born totally magical! xx

A great theme for a January post. Made me think hard about our Life Lessons this year….

  6. Great idea for a post but also a great prize 🙂 My biggest moment that mattered in 2013 was enjoying more time as a family whenever we could.

  7. My oldest son Daniel became a Teenager and watching him graduate in year 8 for reaching high grades in school, receiving a personal phone call from my sons school to say how they are so proud with Adam and his effort at school his handwriting has improved tremendously and he is doing very well in PE so so proud of them both for doing well in school. Also the birth of my beautiful niece Lexie

2013 was, as always, full of moments but literally taking centre stage was something that happened to my 9 year old son, Ronnie. He is not into football like all of the boys at school and was bullied and called names because he loves to dance. A real turning point came in his school life when he was asked to dance in Swan Lake with the English Youth Ballet, a massive achievement in itself. But the real moment came when he returned to school. His entire class had gone to watch one of the performances and realised just how hard he has to work and that he may not love football but has a talent all of his own. He no longer gets called names and they all want to know what he is doing next. As a parent I am so proud that he had the courage to follow his own path and win over his peers.

2013 was a tricky year in many way but focusing on the important moments makes it so much easier to look back and forget the bad, only remember the good.

Have shared to the linky as Laura Petitmoi-Bigworld and I’ve put my post in to the rafflecopter too 🙂

    What a truly amazing competition

After being a full time mam and partner at home my special moment of 2013 was getting myself a job!!! 🙂 being independant and getting a little time away from home being in amongst other people (And not having to ask my partner for money all the time LOL!!!!!)

  17. Question. There are 2 different blogging competitions on SuperLucky linky, one of which is yours, which both require us to blog about about “Moments that Matter”. They each state “Only one single entry per blog is eligible for entry” in T&C. I’m confused – does that mean I can only enter one of them, even though they are separate competitions?

  18. Erin Ek Rush - February 2, 2014 reply

I’ve just noticed that my entry isn’t in the linky.. This is the first linky I’ve done so I may have done something wrong? I enjoyed writing the post either way, but if something needs fixing just let me know 🙂

  19. mummyslittlemonkey - February 2, 2014 reply

Hi there! Well the T&C’s apply specifically to my competition, so you can only enter one blog post on Mummy’s Little Monkey. What you do on someone else’s is up to you! 🙂

  20. Thanks for clarifying. I was unsure whether Lloyds would have disqualified me if I wrote a post and submitted it to both comps
