Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely woman named Judy Ledger. In 1981, after experiencing the devastating loss of three premature babies, she set up the Baby Lifeline charity (www.babylifeline.org.uk). Sadly, despite medical advances, around 8500 newborn babies still die every year during, or soon after birth. Baby Lifeline is striving to reduce these numbers, by providing funds for lifesaving neonatal medical equipment, research, and training. They rely entirely on fundraising and donations to carry out their vital work. From today you can support Baby Lifeline, by bidding on Ebay for a range of celebrity experiences, from pre-theatre drinks with Dame Judi Dench, to a tour of the Coronation Street set. Log on to: www.ebay.co.uk/charity between November 5-15 to place your bid, and help save a life.
