I grew up surrounded by the natural wonders of New Zealand – from lush forests, and snow-capped mountains, to sapphire blue lakes, and geothermal reserves.
Did I appreciate it? Did I heck.
I longed for busy cities, and wine bars, and nightclubs. The first chance I got, I ditched paradise for the bright lights of Sydney, then the gritty streets of London.
Now we’ve found ourselves a nice little compromise… we live just minutes from some stunning forests and natural reserves and plenty of outdoor fun. Unlike my younger years, I’ve now learned to appreciate Mother Nature and I LOVE the fact the girls are happiest with a pair of HUNTER boots, and a pile of muddy puddles.
Yet we’re just a 30-minute train ride from central London, for when Mama needs her little city fix. Perfect!!
