MY LITTLE BEACH BABIES

Growing up in New Zealand, I totally took the ocean for granted. I grew up on the beaches and, in 25 years, rarely lived more than a few minutes from a sea view.

I missed it horrendously when I moved to London. I lived right by the Thames, but a murky old river wasn’t any match (no offence Londoners!).

So it was an absolute delight to take the girls to the beach during a recent visit to OH’s hometown in Devon. It was Lil Sis’s first ever glimpse of the ocean, and the first visit that Big Sis could really remember.

They had the best time ever splashing in the surf, and running in and out of the waves. It wasn’t the greatest weather, but it was the perfect chance for Lil Sis to try out her cool new canary-yellow HUNTER wellies. Yes, I’m a little jealous of them.

We had a brilliant day, and by the time we left, the girls were wet, worn out, and covered in sand… and already begging to go back!

looks like they had a great time! I LOVE those wellies I want some! I also grew up near a beach (nowhere near as exciting as New Zealand though!) and really miss it now I live further inland, we try to take our two to visit my mum there as much as we can.
