the ACTUAL Arctic Circle!
about to venture down into an amethyst mine
a reindeer ride – you just gotta, don’t you?
I’ve been lucky to have travelled to some cool places in my life, but none cooler (metaphorically AND literally!) than Lapland.
You know when you’ve wanted to visit somewhere for EVER and you build it up in your mind so much that the reality can’t possibly live up to the dream?
It’s totally the opposite with Lapland. The Arctic Circle exactly how you imagine it – a magical Winter wonderland filled with snow, and icicles, and husky dogs, and ACTUAL REINDEER (who are actually belligerent beasts in real life)!
I visited about six years ago, on a press trip for travel journalists, but I can’t wait to go back with the girls. I’ve already got it all planned: we’ll go snow-shoeing through the brilliant white drifts, and drink steaming loganberry juice, and look skywards for the ethereal gleam of the Aurora Borealis.
And, most importantly, we’ll see Santa in his actual North Pole home. It won’t just be the kids getting a buzz, because Lapland is the kind of place where even grown adults start to believe — just a teensy bit — that Santa Claus really exists!
There are companies that specialise in trips to the North Pole, such as SANTA’S LAPLAND which offers everything from sleigh rides through snow-laden forests, and real (ish) elves to bring the magic of Lapland to life. Best of all, you’ll get a private visit with Santa Claus himself, in his cosy log cabin!
Enter this competition now, and you could win your very own FAMILY HOLIDAY TO SANTA’S LAPLAND worth £3500!!
What are you waiting for?!
