WARDROBE MALFUNCTION (travelling with toddlers)

Why is that the one time you don’t pack a change of clothes is the same time that your 19-month-old decides to tip an entire sippy cup of water over themselves?

And you’ve driven half an hour, so you can’t just pop home?

And it’s cold, so drying-as-you-go isn’t an option?

We did a bit of quick thinking… Big Sis had a thick cardie in the car, so we swapped it with the pink fleece coat she was wearing. The buttoned up coat went on Lil Sis instead, like a makeshift dress.

Then I grabbed a pair of Big Sis’s knee-high socks that had been rolling around in the back of the car, and pulled them so they reached halfway up Lil Sis’s thighs.

I reckon we got away with it… what do you think??

Quick thinking! And you’re right – it’s every time you don’t take something, it’s needed. I guess that’s sod’s law!!

I carry the biggest changing bag you will ever see, with two clothing changes just incase! And enough food for 3 meals, and at least 8 nappies.  I’m not sure quite where I am expecting to end up!  I like the makeshift look though!

Looks pretty fabulous to me. And it is so true of all those essential little items that you carry around with you everywhere you go and never need… until of course the day that you don’t have them.
