(slightly rubbish) CHRISSY CRAFTS

I’m one of those people who buys craft books, looks through them longingly, but never actually makes anything because, well, I’m just a bit rubbish at crafts.

But Big Sis was stuck inside and a bit bored the other day, and I remembered a fingerprinting kit I’d recently rescued from the unpacked moving boxes in the garage.

We also need some name cards for the Xmas pressies we were about to send off to New Zealand, so… hey presto! Thumbprint-insect-gift-tag-thingies.

There’s no danger of me becoming the next Kirstie Allsopp, but Big Sis and I had fun making them, and I think it’s a nice personal touch on the grandparents’ Chrissy pressies.

On reflection, I should have made them more festive – sprigs of holly, maybe, or a Robin. Hey-ho – there’s always next year!
