How terribly civilised is this?? The stunning London landmark, the Royal Horseguards hotel, is now offering a teeny-tiny High Tea to their height-challenged guests.
The delightful mini menu takes your standard English afternoon tea, and gives it a magical twist with sparkly fairy cakes, traffic-light fruit kebabs, milk chocolate dinosaurs, and rainbow smoothies.
Of course, you’ll also find the traditional treats – cucumber sandwiches (without the crusts, of course!) scones with clotted cream, tiny teas, and frothy babyccinos.
Meanwhile Mummy and Daddy can enjoy the regular ‘grown-ups’ afternoon tea. Even better – forget the brew, and go for a glass of bubbles instead!
And, if summer ever really begins, you can dine alfresco on their sunny outdoor terrace and enjoy stunning views across the Thames to the London Eye.
The Mini-Tea is available from at Guoman’s The Royal Horseguards from 18th July until 15th September 2011. It’ll set you back £12 per child, £70 for a family of four (two adults and two children) or £38 for one parent and one child. Traditional afternoon tea reservations are available as usual.
And have a spiffing afternoon, won’t you old chaps? Pip Pip!
