THE GREAT DAUGHTER DISNEY DINNER DECEPTION

Me: ‘Dinner’s ready – I’ve made you roast chicken, with rice and vegetables.’

Big Sis (actual words): ‘Ewww. No Mummy. Good-bye chicken. Throw away!’

Me (rummaging around for a container I’d kept from a Tesco/Disney kids’ cottage pie): ‘In that case, how would you like some Mickey Chicken??’

Big Sis: ‘Yay! Mickey Chicken! Yeah Mummy, yummmmmm!!’

Me (quickly transferring the food from the regular bowl, to the Micky Mouse-shaped one): ‘There you go!’

Ten minutes later…
He he heh!!

Oh brilliant trick and one I must remember for when the time comes. We are not quite there yet in this house, but suspect that the fussy writing is beginning to appear on the wall.
