Awwww, just looking at this pic makes me feel all warm and squidgy inside!
That’s me on the right with my best friend, and cuzzy Bronny. We’re bobbing about off the coast of Capri, having just visited the Blue Grotto where the water has the most remarkable sapphire glow.
The Amalfi Coast was just one leg of a 6-week-long trip along the French Riviera and down through Italy, taken BB – ‘Before Baby’.
That was way back in the heady days when I used to get at least 8 hours sleep, and would brush my hair every day, and didn’t have weird-coloured food splatters all over my jeans.
OH and I had already agreed that we would try to get pregnant later that year, so I knew this was my last hurrah – and it was the funniest, most bizarre final adventure that a gal could hope to enjoy.
I was accused of stealing a billionaire’s leather jacket in the famous Jimmy’z Nightclub in Monaco (I hadn’t, in case you’re wondering – although it probably would have paid the trip off for us…). We partied through the night on Notte di Bianco, swam in a rooftop pool overlooking the Rome skyline, and walked through corridors of mummified corpses in the Capuchin catacombs in Palermo.
All in all, it was pretty darn perfect girlie holiday!
