3 Things to Be Happy About…

Reasons to be Cheerful at Mummy with a Heart

I’m one of those really annoying, positive people who always sees the bright side of every situation. I hate feeling sad, or expecting the worst, and always try to find a way to spin something bad into something good instead. As my Mum would say; ‘You fall in shit, but come up smelling of roses’.

When Hurricane Katrina struck two days before we were due to fly to New Orleans, and there were reports of entire families stranded in trees, and alligators swimming down the Main Street, I assured my OH: ‘It’ll be fine by the time we get there!’ More than five years later, they’re still cleaning up the devastation…

So I really loved the idea of this new post Reasons To Be Cheerful 1, 2, 3 which was created by the lovely Michelle at Mummy from the Heart. She’s challenged us fellow bloggers to post about three things that have made us happy recently. Now, being the eternal optimist that I am, this was my kinda meme!!!

Here goes – my Reasons To Be Cheerful 1, 2, 3…

Number One: After being really ill over the New Year, Todzilla has officially recovered and is her usual cheeky, funny, crazy, and tireless self. It’s exhausting, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Number Two: Bubs is getting more sweet and adorable every day, and laughed for the very first time a few days ago. I wasn’t doing anything amusing – just talking to our electrician – but clearly it tickled her funny bone, because she erupted into the cutest, most infectious chuckles. Totally made my day!

Number Three: Our house is slowly taking shape – our bed is arriving next week, which means we can finally stop sleeping on a mattress on the floor, our kitchen tiles are being laid on Monday, and we have blinds for our windows!!!! To top it all off, I’ve just looked outside to see the biggest, bluest, cloud-free sky I’ve seen in ages.

Lovely reasons to be cheerful!! Glad the new house is shaping up! My Freddy was poorly over Christmas…it’s so lovely when they get back to being ‘full of beans’. And as for baby giggles…they are simply heart melting 🙂

Awww, love your number 2!! Great reasons to be cheerful! Have a super 2011 🙂

I’m one of those upbeat sorts myself. Nothing wrong with a sunny disposition! Sorry to hear Todzilla was poorly, that’s a nightmare to deal with. And can’t wait to see little one chuckling. Too cute 😉

Will be joining you in this meme, it’s fun.

A great list, thanks so much for joining in, I hope you will be back next week again!

I love no 2 on your list, baby giggles not a lot better than that!
