SISTERS – the gallery

People who know me know I have my camera pretty much surgically attached to my hand.

In fact I seem to spend half my life peering at a viewfinder screen, trying to catch those priceless moments for posterity.

When Tara at Sticky Fingers announced that this week’s Gallery prompt was ‘My Favourite Photo’ I laughed; pick just one photo from my archive, which includes literally thousands??? Not possible. So I had to set myself some realistic parameters, and pick my favourite photo from the past week.

And here it is…

Bis Sis just adores her little sister – so much so I often have to remove a pile of soft toys she’s placed lovingly placed on her head, and dissuade her from actually sitting on top of Lil Sis to give her a cuddle.

What Bis Sis loves most of all is to lie on the big bed, with ‘Bubba’ right beside her. Although, as you can see, I’m not sure if Lil Sis gets quite so much enjoyment out of these little sisterly love-fests.

My sis and I weren’t friends when we were growing up – in fact we only became close as adults. Looking back now, I think it’s a real shame. People will always come and go throughout your life, but family are the one constant. No one will ever be as honest, or supportive, or dependable (or frustrating) as your family.

And that’s why I hope my girls always stay this besotted with each other – that way they won’t just have a sister, they’ll always have a best friend too.

Mummy Mishaps: I was a bit worried about how Lucia would react to having to share the spotlight, but so far she seems to be adjusting really well – I’m sure Burton will too!! xx

Its brilliant watching their relationship blossom. Little P just adores Boy..there is an air of pride about her when she is with him…as for him, at 8 weeks he already watches her every move with pure fascination!!!

Gorgeous picture and lovely post. My brother and sister are much younger than me so we never had that type of a bond. I was a ‘grown up’ before they’d even hit their teens so it’s really great when little ones are such great friends.
