I’ve always been a bit of a closet Rock Chick, but growing up I was way too nerdy to truly fulfill my wild child ambitions.
Add to that the fact my music collection includes the Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton Christmas CD, it’s fair to say that my Rock Chick credentials never really moved past once buying an AC/DC t-shirt.
(Which, in the interests of full disclosure, I bought purely for fashion reasons – I’ve neither owned, nor willingly listened to an AC/DC album).
If I’m totally honest, I’ve been a bit guilty of imposing my frustrated Rock Chick fashion on my own daughter.
I once bought her these motorbike boots because they looked so darn cool – completely ignoring the fact she couldn’t actually walk in them!
Which is why my heart beat a little faster when I saw this range of baby products, designed by ACTUAL rock star drummer, Tico Torres from Bon Jovi.
Apparently, he was sick of seeing generic, pastel baby clothes, so set about designing something with a bit more bite. And so the Rock Star Baby range was born…
The range includes everything from baby bottles and pacifiers printed with funky skull and star logos, to onesies emblazoned with ‘A Rock Star is Born’, to the most adorable silver Rock Star booties.
The range is available in the UK from Mummy’s Online Baby Shop. I’ve already prepared my wish-list for the new arrival, when she arrives in a few weeks time!
(Baby Bottle: £9.99; Silver booties: £12.99; Onesie: £7.99; Soothers: £5.99)

I bought my daughter a faux leather jacket when she was 3. She looked cute. Rock Star – what a chic idea.

twoambitiousmamas: a teeny leather jacket – I love it! Now I want to get one for Lucia for winter!

Ahhh, now that explains all the ‘Rock Star’ emblazoned clothes in our high street shops. Knockoffs, but not quite:) Great idea though, I too get fed up of the cutsie stuff! Jen

Jen: I’m buying baby stuff now for the impending new arrival and I’m already soooo sick of the blue teddy tears for boys and pink flowers for girls clichés I keep seeing everywhere!!!

I couldn’t agree with you more! I was so fed up with the blue for boy, pink for girl so I started a blog on cool, unusual stuff for under 5’s. There IS cool, funky, tasteful stuff out there but you just have to look a little harder.

Ebabeelikes: I LOVE your blog, and drooling over all the luscious baby stuff!! I think I’d actually buy everything, if I could!! (Quick, hide my credit cards…)
